On 6/2/2024, a licensing agreement between UPM & Astera Food Sdn. Bhd. for the licensing of intellectual property 'Cold Pasting as A Preprocessing Method to Increase the Yield of Freeze-Dried Cosmos Caudatus (Ulam Raja) Leaves', an innovation derived from the research conducted by Dr. Ahmad Haniff bin Jaafar and his research team from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, was sealed.

The signing ceremony and exchange of documents was also attended by the Director of Putra Science Park, Prof. Ir. Dr. Hj. Kamarul Arifin Ahmad, Deputy Director of Innovation Promotion and Commercialization Division. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Nurhayati Wan Ab. Rahman, CEO of Astera Food Sdn Bhd and several representatives of the company.
