SHENZEN - Two of Putra Science Park officers received full sponsorship from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to attend the WIPO-CNIPA Training Course on Management and Commercialization of Intellectual Property (IP) Assets held in Shenzhen, China from 14 to 18 October 2019.
The two officers are Hafliza Hussin, Executive Officer in the Innovation Promotion and Commercialisation Division which holds a portfolio of innovative human capital development to local and international technology transfer centre managers. Meanwhile, Suzalina Akma Awing, the Science Officer of the Technology Transfer unit is responsible for the technology transfer monitoring activities.
This course aims to enhance the skills of officers from technology transfer centres of the university, research and development institutions (R&D) as well as industries that are directly involved in the management of intellectual property development to the commercialization of intellectual property.
"These courses certainly add value to participants to carry out their day-to-day tasks more efficiently and effectively, while also seeing and learning the success of intellectual property management in China becoming a leading country in technology transfer", said Hafliza.
Among the other participating countries, are Korea, Pakistan, Libya, India, South Africa, Tunisia, China, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
