KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 - The Edupark program and the Putra Science Park UPM Innohub program succeeded in the first attempt at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2018, research competition and exhibition, which was held on February 22 to 24 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) Kuala Lumpur.
Both innovative service programs won the silver medal alongside with the participation from 6 other Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) researchers who also awarded 5 silver and 1 bronze medals.
This is the first time that UPM sends a service-based program to participating in R&D competition at national level, MTE 2018, which has a high level of judging criteria.
The Edupark program is presented by Associate Professor Dr Faridah Qamaruz Zaman, Deputy Director of Edupark, Putra Science Park (PSP) while Innohub Program is headed by Mr Ahmad Zakir Dato Wira Jaafar, CEO of Commercialization, PSP UPM.
The recognition will open up other bigger recognition opportunity for PSP and UPM this year.
All winners received their medals from the Malaysian Association Research Scientist (MARS) president, Dr. Wan Manshol W. Zin, which was also the official organizing body of the MTE 2018.
